We were happy to see lots of staff cleaning surfaces throughout the property and always wearing masks. We were also able to get into our room 3 hours before check in which was a nice surprise! The staff at check in were super friendly and explained the procedures in place for Covid-19 protection. When we arrived and checked in immediately we both were loving the decor and design of the lobby, felt very retro but modern. My fiancé and I stayed in room 411, a cathedral king room for 2 nights at the end of June 2020 for a quick birthday getaway. The pool was heated which was a nice touch! You are literally on the beach where you can swim, surf, play volleyball, etc. Location - perfect location for just about everything. Hearing the waves all night was so relaxing. We sat on the balcony for hours watching the surfers and the people. Room - clean, spacious, absolutely great view of the beach, wharf, and boardwalk. We could see staff were busy trying to accommodate guests and knew the cleaning staff were doing the same. This was such a small inconvenience though and we forgot all about it once we got to our rooms and seen the view. Staff were super accommodating and were able to give us a key to the pool area so we didn’t have to wait in the car. We ended up arriving to the hotel early and were hoping to get into the rooms as soon as possible after a long drive.
The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that our rooms were not ready until 4:15.

All of the staff were so friendly and professional (even when there was an unnecessarily rude guest at the front desk-they handled it so well).
